WHAT IS THE BREAKTHROUGH Blood? [mucus] [breakthrough]

For about two months now I have quite a difficult spot. Hard not bleeding, just spotting, about two days after my period stopped. I even have to wear a pad at night. When I wipe, it is mixed with mucus. Any idea what it might be? Please help. Thank you so much!
