Week of pregnancy on the ultrasound image [week of pregnancy] [centimeters]
I had posted last month about the girl who said she is my baby son have . He told her he wanted to go with her to her ultrasound, but she went without him . She gave him a copy of the image and when we look at it, we did not see a date how far along is.It she have the babys weight in centimeters though there Were Some . with letters and numbers were not sure if that means how long it is.This is so important because many doubt whether it is or not . It is unfortunate that we up to 9 months to wait until we know for sure. He really wanted to go with her so he could find to date the pregnancy, but she did not give him a chance . We know that will not reveal whether he is the father, but it gives him an idea of when she did become pregnant . It was number 17 on the film . but he thinks she is 19 weeks now . you can help us find out? Thanks . Guy

Reply:No they are not getting married and won't be living together. It was a one night stand….(stupid but the truth)……..Yes we are definitely at arms length with this girl…..We can't get close to her till we know for sure……We know that we have to be careful what we say and do because if this child is his, i know i will want to be a part of his/her life…My son is planning on taking financial responsbility if it is his child…It is amazing how one careless night can change everyone's life forever..As far as I am concerned, neither one of them used their heads that night and now they have to face up to the consequences…..She having a baby with someone she doesn't even know and the same for him…..I know we will get throught this together , we are a very close family and there is alot of love . And alot of love to give this baby too…….
It is just the waiting that is so hard for all of us…….guy

Reply:This must be very hard on you and your family, as well as for the woman involved. I'm curious, if after the baby is born, dna tests reveal that your son IS the father, what are his plans? Will they be married? Try living together? Or will he just be responsible for some financial assistance? I only ask because it seems like your family will spnd the next nine months keeping this woman at arm's length, and if does turn out to be your son's child won't there be some tension between the mother and your family?

Reply:He definitely will be getting a DNA done after the baby is born. But it is unfortunate that we all have to be on this emotional roller coster for 9 months. Not knowing for sure, but I guess we will know soon enough and at least he will know for sure……He is thinking she may have already been pregnant when they "got together" that is why the age of the fetus is so important. Again, we know for sure that the ultrasound said 16.4 CM…..but that doesn't really tell us much……I appreciate all the replies, this is such a trying time for all concerned. Bride527

Reply:My SIL had her first scan in what was supposed to be her 12th week, but the scan revealed that she was only 10 weeks at the time. On her picture it says 10.0cm. If she is only 10 weeks then there is no way that the baby measures 10cm, we thought it might have something to do with how many weeks she is. We still dont know what it means. The only way you will know for sure if the baby is your sons is to wait untill the baby is born and do a dna test.

Reply:If the date is right it was 17 weeks ago, we thought you add two weeks onto the date of conception? But anyway it does say 16.4CM on the ultrasound.Does that seem like a big baby? for 17 or 19 weeks????????

Reply:I have 4 U/S sound pictures starting from 7 weeks to 21 weeks and none of them show how many weeks the baby is. Also my last one the baby is measuring a week ahead and I know the exact day we did the deed. When you have been trying for 4 1/2 years you know the exact dates. So my point is you can't always go by the U/S because it measures the baby and sometimes you can just have a small baby or a big baby.

Reply:I'm not sure if this will help, but when you are 19 weeks pregnant, you're baby is only 17 weeks, because you usually ovulate about 2 weeks after the first day of your last period. So if he is calculating by her menstrual period, the number 17 might correspond with the age of the baby. I don't know what the numbers actually mean, so it could be something completely different then the baby's age. Good Luck!
