Ive heard some women say that an epidural was high and she felt no pain! birth and on some channels, I see women have epidurals, but they scream in pain hours later when it comes to pushing the baby out.
When they give you they keep topping it up at your request, so that hurts back come? or do they wear them so you can return again to hurt?
Also does it really stop any pain?
Are side effects that any of you experience?

Hello everybody! My little girl finally in the world Tuesday, 31/07 at 3:12 p.m. My heaven is her father up and down!
Monday night I had terrible cramps / back pain and I slept about one hour. We went to the hospital Tuesday morning at 7. I was checked and found that I was already 4 inches, 100% effaced, plus a drive. Good thing I did when I did! The doctor broke my water at 7:30. Contractions started and I got the epidural at 8:30. At 9, I was 6 inches and feel great! At 10:30, I was 9.5

It is very likely I will need a C-section. I refuse to have anything stuck in my back, whether it hurts or not, so I want general anesthesia. I would not want a catheter. Can I also refuse? I had a child normally 11 years ago, but this time I am terrified. I can not sleep, while my stomach is cut open. Some people say they want to be awake with their baby, but Ill have enough time after the baby is born. Of course I had my daughter and I remember from a slight angle and I had no medication.

Okay. Almost everything Ive read on this forum say that most of you ladies felt hardly noticed in the epidural go, thats great news. My dhs cousin told me the other day that the epidural go in the most terrible pain they ever felt in her life. It is more likely to feel or not. Im sure Ill need one and now Im terrified of. What were your experiences?

Ive noticed more depression during pregnancy, partly because I really stressed. Im doing too many things at once. My son is almost two drives me crazy. I love him, but he is so hard sometimes, and Im too tired and cranky with him. Im really worried about weight gain, because I got 50 lbs with DS, which ended with a weight of 10 lbs 1 oz. at birth. I can not again go through that kind of work. My epidural failed and I had to push him without pain.
