I am 39 weeks and go into the hospital on Sunday for the ripe cervix gel and pitocin will be given on Monday. I went to the doctor today for my weekly visit and she made the comment that the baby was posterior. I asked what that meant, but she was distracted answering a question I asked and I did not even think about until I left. What does this mean? Does the baby have to turn on or is that the position they should be?

Well, I will be one week earlier due tomorrow. They checked me yesterday and I had dilated to 3 cm, but my cervix was still a bit thick. I am now 12 weeks and was just starting to feel more confident that I would not fail. This took about one day. Yesterday at work, I felt a few little cramps, not painful or anything. When I got home, I went to the bathroom to find what looked like a lot of brown blood. Of course, I freaked out went to my docs, where it was about 10 minutes before they found the heartbeat. She checked my cervix and said it was closed, which was good but could not explain the bleeding.

I have no idea why this bothers me so much, but Im always afraid my water will break. My water broke with my first, but it broke at 37 weeks. It was not that I had gone sooner or whatever.
