Everyone gets membranes stripped? [2 centimeters dialated] [centimeters]
This morning I was dialated 2 centimeters and 80% effaced. The Dr. stripped my membranes also. Does this help any of you? If so how long did it before you give birth? Thanks in advance!

Reply:I had that done and within 24 hours my daughter was born, I do remember it kind of hurt, I was dialated 4 cm and 80 % effecaed at that appoinment. Thar night I went into labor didn't know it water had broke and when I got to the hospital I was 6 cm she was born 4 hours later. I hope this happens again.

Reply:I've never had it done but my sister did with her last baby.
She was 2 weeks overdue, had it done in the afternoon and early the following morning she was in labor.

Reply:I had it done and it did nothing for me. My daughter actually had to be blasted out with dynamite–Just kidding of course!

Reply:I had it done twice. Once the first week and nothing, then again the following week and that night BOOM I was in labor.
