~ ~ BH contractions 10 to 15 minutes each? [contractions] [intervals]
Good day ladies, am a bit
I are talking about! I am only 34.5 weeks prego and timing my contractions all morning. They are 10 to 15 minutes apart and some are a little sore.
Has someone else had she regularly so early? I can not remember to have them at any regularly with my first so Im very scared. : Eek:
The girls here at work what I will baby this week. It is far too early!
I am just not feeling very well and am very scattered. I feel like I could just curl up and sleep.
Any help or advice would be appreicated.
Would any of you go to the doctor or call them at least?
Thanks, Dawn

Reply:Could be false labor. I had it over the weekend…painful, too, but when I rested and drank water, it subsided. I'm 34+ weeks (baby measures bigger). The doc told me if they stop, it isn't real. Never hurts to get checked, though. I made them check my cervix at my appointment yesterday. It's still closed.

Reply:Thanx for all the replies ladies! I am still having them but not nearly as regularly or as frequently. Everyone is commenting on how low my tummy is and that I'm bigger today than I was last week. Nice eh… just what I want to hear with 5 wks to go.
I am not too sure why they were so regular and for so long but it has stopped so I'm no longer worried!
Thanks again!

Reply:I am so uncomfortable and just huge! I am now gaining like 3lbs a bloody week (serious swelling) and I just hurt everywhere when I try to walk. This is how I felt with ds at 40 wks, not less than 35!!!Baby#2, I feel EXACTLY the same way you do. They are not regular like yours are, but I've been cramping and tired and just plain miserable today. I know I haven't dropped yet, though, so I don't think it could be labor, right? are you still trying to get in touch with the doc? good luck…!

Reply:I had tons of BH when I was pg with my ds, they were regular and lasted about an hour, then go away, then come back for another hour, then go away lol, nothing happened, I had to be induced. But I would call someone and just ask to be on the safe side. good luck

You need to know that BH contractions are never regular. Any regular contractions are real labor, even if they stop on their own and don't start back up. Call L&D at the hospital where you plan to deliver and talk to the nurse there. She may be able to contact your doctor. I find it very unusual for no one to be in the doctor's office just because he/she is on call. You are the type patient he/she is on call FOR! Second babies can come more quickly and early babies are a bit smaller so you don't have to dilate quite as much for them to fit through.
You need to be monitered and checked in case this is real labor. Please don't delay in asking a medical professional! Your subconscious may know best! I went into PTL 13 weeks early and as I left work to see my doctor, the thought popped into my head that my baby would be born before I came back to work. That thought was right. He came at 28 weeks after I was in the hospital for 9 days.

Our bodies go through all this for nothing. I don't remember having them like this though. I am still having them around 10 to 15 mins apart and it's been going on since about 8am. Also, I for some weird reason just cleaned out my desk without even thinking about it. Wishful thinking probably!
I don't want to go yet but sooner than later would be better. I am so uncomfortable and just huge! I am now gaining like 3lbs a bloody week (serious swelling) and I just hurt everywhere when I try to walk. This is how I felt with ds at 40 wks, not less than 35!!!
Any who, you are probably right Jodie. I should just calm down. I tried calling my OB today but he's on call today so there's nobody at the office.
Thanks for the reassurance.

Reply:I had them with ds at about 36 -37 weeks (in church of all places). They were 10 min apart and lasted about 2 hours and then stopped and didn't happen again until near the end. And as you know Dawn…ds was 10 days late after a horrible induction so my guess is that you are just going through 'practice'!!!!
I am amazed at how early and strong my braxton hicks are too. I am 30w4d and have them a lot when driving or sitting and they are as strong as the ones I had at 40 weeks with ds. I guess our bodies are just used to this pregnancy thing!!
